Although the ocean salt is in my blood, since my move to the New Hampshire Mount Washington valley in 1988, North Conway is where my heart calls home.
I am a 1976 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with an associate degree in mental health technology. I have worked as a counselor on a suicide hotline, manager of a senior living center, and co-founder / co-director of the David Church School of Classical Ballet. From age fifteen through my mid-fifties I taught many types of dance and exercise in Maine and New Hampshire including twenty years of ballroom dance with dance partner David Church. I also served as choreographer for many community theater projects over the years. In 1992, I co-founded and served as co-director of Arts In Motion, a community theater and education company. I am proud that the passion it was created with, continues today. I also serve as head judge for the annual Miss Mount Washington Valley Scholarship Pageant, and associate advisor board director for Valley Promotions.
A child of the '60s with a gypsy spirit, I will always choose adventure over anything else. In 2000, my husband Michael and I moved to Salem, Massachusetts where I worked as a business manager and personal assistant to a long time teacher of mystical knowledge. By the end of 2003, we moved again, this time to the artsy bohemian Key West style community of Gulfport, Florida where I studied metaphysics and worked as a pre-school teacher. In the spring of 2005, the wind had shifted once again and we moved back to New Hampshire, where I opened Mystic Ballroom, a small studio offering dance and spiritual life readings.
My self-proclaimed job description is experience collector. I am a Reiki Master Teacher and a continuing student of QuantumPathic Center of Consciousness in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 2011, after healing from a year of chemo-therapy, I drove coast to coast on a six week back road tour of the United States in my old 1994 Saturn wagon, meeting locals and listening to their stories. I love to winter walk in the ocean waves, climb the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona, read books that rattle my molecules, exercise to Andrea Bocelli, sit alone in the back row of a movie theater with my writing notebook, and take magical family trips to Walt Disney World. I am happiest when I am healing in nature, cooking for family, and loving my grandchildren.
I live in Epping, New Hampshire with my husband Michael and cats Meggie and Salem. I am inspired every day by my two amazing sons, two beautiful granddaughters, and my precious grandson who arrived with the winter solstice, 2015.
